Two New Beers

Deschutes Jubel 2010
Behold something so deep crimson and swirling with spice, malt, earthy fruit and oak that it is barely tethered to the term beer. Carefully aged in Oregon Pinot wine barrels, Jubel 2010 is a once-a-decade experience that truly rewards the 10-year wait.
Jubel 2010 is a deeply dynamic presentation of the flavors found in Deschutes festive winter seasonal, Jubelale. Available on tap around the holidays at our pubs as Super Jubel, February 2010 marks only the second time they have ever bottled this immortal libation. The first and only other time this special brew was bottled was to celebrate the new millennium as Jubel 2000.

North Coast Brewing Le Merle
Le Merle is a rustic ale, pale in color, inspired by the rich brewing traditions of the Flanders region. Abundant hops and a Belgian yeast strain contribute exotic aromas of tropical fruit.
Le Merle (the Blackbird) suggests an image that somehow seems appropriate for this subtle, sophisticated Belgian-style Saison beer. It has been described by Michael Jackson as “More than a serious beer – it is outstanding….Dizzying, appetizing, refreshing.
