Hefe means yeast and Weizen means wheat. These are generally wheat beers with a cloudiness from the yeast remaining in the bottle. American-Style Hefeweizen is crisp and clean with a nice grain character. German-Style has a distinctive clove and banana character from the yeast used to ferment them.
